WEALTHVISORS® is a Virginia based Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) that helps people in developing, managing and optimizing their investment portfolios. Our specialty is building custom portfolio solutions based on the suitability and goals of each specific client. We perform our advisory services using cutting-edge technology, diligent research, and analytical processes that help us implement over a dozen trading strategies designed to work in all market conditions. Our two core investment management services include WEALTHVISOR Signature and OPTIONVISOR Specialized –and the strategies we use vary between both of these offerings. You must be an accredited investor to qualify for the OPTIONVISOR investment service.

What if I am brand new and don’t have an existing portfolio?

We’re happy to work with clients from all walks of life and investment experience levels. If you’re brand new to the Stock Market, we would love nothing more than to work with you in creating a customized investment plan to achieve more with your money. Whether you’re trying to be proactive and plan for retirement, invest for a large upcoming purchase, or just put money aside for general growth or income, we can help sculpt an ideal plan that suits your risk tolerance and long-term goals. The process of setting up a new account with us is simple and streamlined and will be one of the first steps in establishing our relationship. We utilize TD Ameritrade as our qualified third-party custodian. WEALTHVISORS LLC never has custody of client assets and is not affiliated with any broker-dealers or investment banks.

What if I am very experienced at trading already, is this for me?

We’ve learned over the years that even individuals who consider themselves sophisticated investors, with strong trading acumen and experience levels often lack the time needed in managing a complex investment portfolio. When experienced traders or investors spread themselves too thin, frequently an inferior investment portfolio is a result, and the door opens to missed opportunities, mistakes, poor trading decisions, and lackluster results. Our duty is to complement the more seasoned clients with a managed solution to help them save time, reduce latency in executing trades and help achieve better results in the portfolio.

How much time will it take to manage my investments?

Every client of WEALTHVISORS® has different financial objectives, and the priority for us is structuring an investment management approach to best fit your needs. We have a master view of all the securities within our client accounts, and we can make trades based on specific circumstances in a streamlined manner promoting a more wholesome management approach; thus pinpointing an actual time to manage an individual clients’ portfolio would be arbitrary. However, there is a lot more time involved with the OptionVisor investment service (hence the higher advisory fee) due to the nature of options trading and constant maturity of expiration dates.

Am I committing myself to appointments?

Although we do make ourselves available for client appointments upon request, you are not committed to a routine schedule where we have to meet and discuss your financial matters. We recommend at least an annual account review and offer several online tools and communication systems to maintain the utmost transparency regarding your portfolio and investment performance.

Do you offer any additional services besides portfolio management?

We specialize in developing, managing and optimizing investment portfolios but we do offer a holistic approach to wealth management through our certified partners for various insurance, tax, and estate needs. WealthVisors also provides a comprehensive financial planning solution, My Investor Plan™, that can be learned more on our Services page. We also offer 1-hour consulting services to discuss anything investment-related for a flat fee of $295 per hour.

How do I become a client of WEALTHVISORS®

The first way for us to start our advisor-client relationship is to go through our Get Started sign-up process. This questionnaire is where you can tell us a little bit about yourself, your investment goals, risk levels, and current financial situation. Once we review your information, we will reach out to you so we can connect with an introductory call and discuss our portfolio solutions and investment advisory services together.

Do you have a software program that will tell me what stocks to buy?

No, we do not have any public software program that tells you what stocks to buy (or sell). We do have a proprietary financial technology software; TradeScans™ that helps us find the most suitable securities to match up with the risk profile of our clients. This process helps us simplify our investment decisions and ensures we stay within the correct risk parameters when advising clients or using our discretionary trading authority inside client accounts.

What investment strategies are used with the OPTIONVISOR™ service?

The OPTIONVISOR™ managed portfolio solution is only available for accredited investors that have at least $250,000 to invest with us. This specialized investment service comes with higher advisory fees that can be further understood on the OPTIONVISOR Specialized page. We use a multitude of defined-risk option trading strategies that include but are not limited to: selling naked puts, selling covered calls, buying ITM-ATM-OTM LEAPS® on various equities and ETFs, selling short-term calls or puts on long-term LEAPS® (time spreads), defined-risk credit spreads including; short vertical calls spreads, short vertical put spreads, and short iron condors, defined-risk debit spread including; long vertical call spreads, long vertical put spreads, long diagonal spreads, long calendar spreads, straddles and strangles. I have under $100,000 to invest, can I become a client?

Unfortunately, we only offer managed portfolio solutions with clients that have at least $100,000 to invest with us. However, if you’re starting with less than $100,000, we will be rolling out an automated wealth management service (WealthVisor Robo) in the next year that will allow you to invest using the WealthVisor model portfolios and proprietary investment strategies. Where can I view your most recent firm brochure?

WEALTHVISORS LLC (DBA: WEALTHVISORS) also referred to as “WV” is a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) with our principal office located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. You can view our most recently filed Form ADV 2A: Firm Brochure online at or by going to the Legal section of our website and downloading a copy directly from us.

Am I able to cancel my advisory contract?

All of our Investment Advisory Client Agreements can be canceled with a thirty day written notice by either party. If you wish to move your account managed by WEALTHVISORS LLC to another advisory firm (or for any other personal or business reason), you are able to do so as long as you provide us with 30 days written notice.

Will I be able to access or view my account?

Yes, you will be able to login to the TD Ameritrade Institutional advisory client portal to view all your investments at any time you need. All of your trade requests and/or money transfers should be done through your investment manager per the “Investment Advisory Client Contract” and in accordance with our Terms of Use.

How will the advisory service fees be paid?

All of our clients will enter into an Advisory Contract with WEALTHVISORS LLC which will grant us the fiduciary responsibility and privilege to manage your investments in the most suitable style that we pre-define before starting our relationship. All of our management fees will be deducted from your account automatically on a monthly basis and billed on the 10th day of the following month for services rendered. Our fee schedule is different for account sizes and changes between our WEALTHVISOR Signature and OPTIONVISOR Specialized investment services. What if I already have a brokerage account and want it managed by WEALTHVISORS?

We can transfer your existing investment account(s) with all the assets you hold through a simple and streamlined process. There is no cost incurred for this account transfer and often times you will be able to receive better trading commissions due to our bulk client discount as your investment manager.

Which brokerage will be used?

WealthVisors uses TD Ameritrade Institutional as our qualified third-party custodian and clearing firm on all client accounts and trades. Although we can accommodate other brokers for our clients, we prefer and primarily use TD Ameritrade to facilitate our investment advisory services.
